Mauricio Sanchez
Chief Security Architect

Mauricio Sanchez is Chief Security Architect for HP Networking. He is responsible for defining and driving security technology strategy across all product lines making up HP Networking and establish the business as the industry’s premier vendor for secure networking solutions. Together with HP’s server and storage businesses, he is crafting strategy and new architectures for the next generation in secure data centers for HP customers.
He has over 15 years in the industry, which have provided him an extremely deep level of understanding of network security technologies and market. Sanchez joined ProCurve (HP Networking) in early 2000 as a software engineer and by 2003 was leading the definition of ProCurve’s security solutions. The ensuing years have allowed him to obtain broad experience in the ongoing effort to meld network and security technologies that together are establishing the next generation in enterprise networking.
Sanchez has been active in several security standards bodies over the past decade. He currently represents HP Networking in TCG/TNC (Trusted Computing Group/Trusted Network Connect) and IETF. In both standards bodies he has authored several security authentication standards and is currently co-chair of the RADIUS extensions (RADEXT) working group in the IETF. He also was pivotal in the engagement and design of Virus Throttle in HP Networking products in conjunction with researchers from HP Labs.
Sanchez holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering, M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a minor in German, all from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He has three patents granted and eight additional pending.

Rennie Fisher

Rennie was the past Chief Information Officer at Colliers International, the largest Canadian Commercial Real Estate company. In his role as CIO, Rennie had responsibility for the Information systems and technology platform globally.
While at Colliers, Rennie grew the technology platform from one that supported 14 offices in North America in 1996, to a platform that now supports in excess of 100 locations in North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Central and Eastern Europe.
Over the past 12 years at Colliers, Rennie pioneered the concept of a Virtual Workforce, implementing and supporting Wide Area Network, Wireless mobility, and business applications across teams that spanned several global regions. As part of the Senior Executive team at Colliers, Rennie was part of several Mergers & Acquisitions transactions where he successfully extended the infrastructure to include these new companies. His ability to bring cross cultural solutions to challenging business problems, along with a strong understanding and appreciation of how to build cross functional and cultural teams has enabled him to deliver in excess of 100 business applications on a global platform, fostering the collaboration and sharing of Intellectual capital by the various Sales and Service professionals.
Currently, Rennie is a Senior Vice President at Abraxas International, a Management Consulting firm delivering bottom-line improvement to business results, through better management of IT initiatives and resources.
Having worked in Information Technology over the past 25 years, Rennie brings with him a wealth of experience across a number of industry sectors, and coupled with an ability to develop consensus around processes and business solutions, makes him very effective at delivering breakthrough solutions. He has solid experience in a number of Industry sectors having had senior IT management roles in manufacturing, sales, Resource energy, financial, and management consulting companies. His track record of delivering innovative, cost effective solutions within budget and on time speaks for itself and is a strong asset in Mergers, Acquisitions, and divestitures.
Rennie is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Larry Simon

Mr. Simon is an entrepreneur and management consultant with over 25 years of IT management advisory experience. He is the President and a Founding Partner of Abraxas International, and has worked with a variety of global corporations, public sector organizations and early stage enterprises to help them develop and implement business and IT strategies. He is currently the CIO/CTO of Global Music Depot, a musical instrument Internet retailer and is on the Board of CIPS Ontario.
Previously he has been a Partner with Ernst & Young Consulting, the Chair and Head Judge of the Canadian Information Productivity Awards, and a Council member of the Ontario Institute of Certified Management Consultants.
He holds an MBA from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management, a computer science degree from the University of Waterloo, and is a Certified Management Consultant.

Brian Klingbeil

Brian Klingbeil is the senior vice president of hosting for Savvis. Prior to this role, Mr. Klingbeil was managing director of EMEA and also served as vice president of finance and strategic planning at Savvis. He has over 15 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industries and was vice president of finance for GTS Telecommunications prior to joining Savvis. Mr. Klingbeil has also held key finance and planning positions at Qwest Communications. He studied engineering at Miami University and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from The Ohio State University.

Michael O’Neil is Canada’s leading IT industry analyst. Through the course of his career, he has led research firms to leadership positions in the Canadian market, launched research projects that provide benchmark information for the Canadian IT industry, and provided guidance to the country’s leading vendors, distributors, solution providers, and corporate executives.
As Managing Director for IDC Canada, Michael built a business that grew from being a sub-$1 million office to one of the corporation`s largest and most influential subsidiaries – and built a reputation as a global expert in channel and alliance strategy, engaged with clients across North America, Asia, and in Europe.
After leaving IDC, Michael founded the Indaba division of Info-Tech Research Group, and created the IT industry`s first demand-side market sizing and segmentation model. In October 2007, Michael co-founded the original IT in Canada, a social media site that quickly became the “go to” Canadian resource for information on critical IT industry topics. He also founded the IT Forum Exchange, which syndicated discussion forums from IT in Canada.
In December of 2008, Michael launched a joint venture research company, IT Market Dynamics, with partners CRN Canada, Information Executive Magazine (then known as Information Week Canada), and Canadian Government Executive. In August 2009, IT Market Dynamics and its media partners came together to launch a revamped IT in Canada. Today, Michael acts as Chief Content Officer for this group, which spans the web properties of the trade magazines, and microsites such as GreenerIT.ca, UC in Canada, and the IT Forum Exchange.
